I was born in Prescot but now live some considerable distance away and am not therefore in a position to regularly visit the many family graves that are in the churchyard.
Recently however I was able to visit and was delighted to see how ‘cared for’ the churchyard now looked in comparison with its somewhat dilapidated appearance on previous visits. My sincere thanks and congratulations to all those involved. Your efforts are much appreciated.
Ian Hendy.
you have all worked wonders, Also you have found missing family graves, for that I thank you.
Congratulations to you all. The memorial garden for the babies is wonderful, Thank you all again
absolute credit to all involved in this very worthy campaign
As we come to the end of 2016, I’d just like to say thank you to FOPCC for all their efforts in looking after out historic churchyard and ensuring that our late family members remain in pleasant and well maintained surroundings
A Big Thankyou to the dedicated volunteers who have done wonders in restoring the churchyard to what it is today.
I was surprised to see that the old grave that was uncovered in your video bore the name BURROWS and just wonder if any of those buried there may be some of my ancestors.
I look forward to my next visit to the UK so I can see the grave for myself.
My family emigrated to Australia in 1963 where we settled in Sydney, but I love coming back to Prescot although lots of places are so different to what I remember.
Thanks go to all the friends of the cemetery.they have all worked so hard to make the old churchyard look so good.i can get to my sister’s grave now so easily.
Had a lovely walk around both the cemetery and church yard yesterday. It was so peaceful and calming. I have many relatives buried in both, and probably some I’ve never heard of. You are doing a great job! Thank you so much for all that you do.
